The Move

We’ve moved the farm to Florida from California!

Bringing the farm with me was a “no-brainer,” but it was quite the circus act to actually plan and execute! If not for some very good friends, it would have been almost impossible to have accomplished by myself. While there were a few trips and hazards along the journey, we pulled it together and made it happen.

I cannot thank my friends Marlene and Alan Rhodarmer enough for their generosity and their friendship. It took almost a full month LONGER than anticipated! Very stressful for everyone involved. Again, for my friends to have stuck with me during the whole process was beyond limits initially set. I cannot thank them enough!

We had an eventful move, tragedy struck in 3 lives lost. Sassy, my adopted red and white Border Collie was just too old and ill to make the full journey. She passed quietly with her sister and brother alongside her. She is sorely missed, but she is with us in our hearts. Her sister Roxy is here and well, enjoying the open space of the new property.

Two other lives, my two top bucks, Elvis and Copper, succumbed to an unknown reason (per veterinarian) to death while being held in Oklahoma, mid transit, by a lovely family who cared for my herd while my property in California was sold. We hit a few road blocks and so their journey was delayed. During that time, weeks apart, they passed at night without any evidence of illness or predation.
